Taco Salad
Quick to put together, filling, and great for lunch on the go.
- 1 pound grass-fed hamburger
- Taco Seasoning: 1 tsp pepper (1 tablespoon paprika, 1/2 tsp salt, 1 tsp cumin adjust to taste)
- ½ cup organic tomato sauce
- Optional 1/2 tsp dried hot pepper of choice
TOPPINGS
- Organic hard cheese ie; aged cheddar
- 1/2 Cup organic salsa (no sugar added)
- Guacamole made with avocado (1 clove pressed garlic, and juice of fresh lime. Salt to taste)
- Shredded cabbage or greens of choice
- Fresh cilantro
- Place the hamburger, seasoning and tomato sauce in a skillet and saute while stirring often until the hamburger is cooked through, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat.
- Chop cabbage/greens, and place 1 cup on a plate. Top with ground hamburger, 1 serving of cheese, salsa, cilantro, and guacamole! Enjoy!
Guacamole will turn brown when exposed to air, so for lunches that travel, increase lime in guacomole or consider keeping your avocado whole with pit, and removing fresh avocado at time of meal.
