Green Tea’s primary antioxidant, EGCG, may help prevent UV damage and protect collagen (which keeps skin tight) as you age. Studies show applying it topically and taking it internally is the most effective route for skin care. But not all green teas are the same: Matcha, for example, has the most antioxidants, while artificially sweetened options contain fewer antioxidants. Fresh brewed is always best.
Matcha Green Tea Drink
- 2 cups unsweetened almond milk
- 2 cups baby spinach leaves (loosely packed)
- 1/2 avocado (cubed)
- 1-2 teaspoons matcha green tea powder
- 1/2 cup crushed ice
- Put all ingredients in a blender and Purée until smooth
