Roasted Chickpeas – crunchy snack

Just one warning. as I ate the entire batch by myself in one sitting:  As addictive as they are, they’re still beans. And if you eat the entire batch…which is 1 can of garbanzo beans.

Roasted Chickpeas – crunchy snack

 

  • 1 12 ounce can chickpeas (garbanzo beans), drained
  • some oil to lightly coat
  • cumin and salt
  1. Preheat oven to 450 F
  2. Blot chickpeas with a paper towel to dry them. In a bowl, toss chickpeas with oil, and season to taste with salt and cumin. Spread on a baking sheet, and bake for 30 to 40 minutes, until browned and crunchy. Watch carefully the last few minutes to avoid burning.
  3. Eat alone as a crunchy snack or sprinkle on a salad as “croutons”.

Could be used as croutons as well.
