Healthy & Spicy Tortilla Chips

Store-bought chips are fried in fat and loaded with sodium. These tongue-tingling triangles get their flavor from cayenne pepper. With only 4 ingredients you can quickly and easily make a batch in minutes

Healthy & Spicy Tortilla Chips

  • 1 Ezekiel tortilla
  • 1 tsp. olive oil
  • Lime juice and/or cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Salt to taste
  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and add lime juice and/or cayenne pepper if desired. Cut the tortilla into 8 wedges. Add the tortilla pieces in a single layer and heat on each side for 5 minutes or until crispy but not too brown. Sprinkle with salt and enjoy.
  2. Alternatively, you can bake the tortillas in the oven. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and brush the olive oil and seasonings on one side of the tortilla. Cut into 8 wedges arrange in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake for 7 minutes or until crispy. Sprinkle with salt.
