Body Composition Analysis

The body weight is the sum of Body Fat Mass and Lean Body
Mass, which is composed of Dry Lean Mass and Total Body
Water. Total Body Water is the sum of Intracellular Water
and Extracellular Water. Extracellular Water is the total
amount of water outside the body's cell. Maintain a balanced
body composition to stay healthy.

Muscle-Fat Analysis

Compare the bar lengths of Skeletal Muscle Mass and
Body Fat Mass. The longer the Skeletal Muscle Mass bar
is compared to the Body Fat Mass bar, the stronger the body is.
Skeletal Muscle Mass is the amount of muscle attached to the
bones. Body Fat Mass is the sum of subcutaneous fat,
visceral fat, and fat surrounding muscles. Subcutaneous fat is
found beneath the skin, while visceral fat is found surrounding
internal organs in the abdomen.

Obesity Analysis

Body Mass Index is an index used to determine obesity by
using height and weight.

* BMI = Weight/Height²

Percent Body Fat (PBF) is the percentage of body fat
compared to body weight.

* PBF=Fat/Weight x 100

Segmental Lean Analysis

Evaluates whether the muscles are adequately developed in
the body. The top bar shows the comparison of muscle mass
to ideal weight while the bottom bar shows that to the current

Body Water Analysis

ECW/TBW, the ratio of Extracellular Water to Total Body Water,
is an important indicator whether the body water is balanced.
If your ECW/TBW is higher than 0.390, please consult your

Body Composition History

Track the history of body compositional changes. Take the
InBody Test periodically to monitor your progress.
Continuously measuring under the same ID allows the InBody
to save each test for future comparison. The Body
Composition History allows an individual to track the changes
in body composition over their most recent eight results
(if selecting 'Recent') or a cumulative graph that shows the
progress from the first test results to the most recent results
(if selecting 'Total').

Results Interpretation

Customize result sheets to print outputs and interpretations that
fit your facility's needs.

Measure your BIA

Body composition can’t be measured by simply stepping on your bathroom scale. Take the guesswork out of your health and find out what you are made of.

Track Your Progress

Track each step of your wellness journey by knowing how much fat loss, muscle gain and water weight.

Achieve Your Goals

Achieve your Healthy Balance shape for yourself and your future by knowing:

  • Total % of fat and muscle in the body
  • Body composition compared to healthy expected ranges
  • How many calories you burn

What is a Bio Impedance Analysis Test?

BIA stands for bioimpedance analysis. It measures your percentage of lean body mass versus fat mass and in addition to other assessments provides a snapshot of your health status. Even if you think your weight is healthy, you can still have an unhealthy or altered body composition. What is an unhealthy body composition? Generally speaking, it refers to carrying too much fat in comparison to muscle—often referred to as having a high fat-to-lean ratio. The former is just what the term implies—fat. The latter is everything that is not fat: mostly muscle along with bones, visceral organs, other tissues, and fluid.

More than just stepping on a scale

Body composition is more than just stepping on a scale and measuring your weight. In fact, even those who appear to be thin on the outside are at risk for many diseases because they have too much fat on the inside! Determination of body composition is therefore becoming an integral part of health and nutritional assessment. Our BIA test is an accurate way to determine your body composition is through a method called Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA). BIA is a quick, non-invasive method of assessing body composition that uses electric signals at different frequencies, which are slowed down or “impeded” depending on the amount of water, fat, and fat-free mass in your body.
